Would you like to improve your oral English this semester? An English teacher who has often taught oral English to Chinese is offering a free Oral English class to Chinese students, scholars, spouses, and other adult family members. The aim of the class is to help your English sound more natural, as well as to give a good opportunity for practicing speaking.
This class is designed for intermediate level English students who have not been in this class before. (While former students may come, they should be aware that it will repeat teaching they’ve had before, but they can still practice their oral English.) It is hoped that those who register are eager enough to improve their oral English that they’ll attend all class sessions if at all possible.
When: Saturday afternoons, September 17 to November 12 (2:30-4 PM)
Class sessions: Typically, class begins with a short general session for instruction, and then students pair up for oral practice. To get the most benefit, plan to come to each class because each session builds on the preceding ones.
Location: Solid Rock Church (5401 Good Luck Road, Riverdale, MD)
Registration: Registration is now open until 12 noon on Friday, Sept. 16. To register or to ask for more information, email Iris at [email protected]. Please give your name and status at your university (undergrad, grad student, scholar, spouse, etc.) or otherwise; also include your WeChat address if you have one. If we do not have at least two more students to register for this class by 12 noon on Friday, Sept. 16, the course will be canceled.
